Aistear is based on 12 principles of early learning and development. Based on these principles, Aistear uses four themes to describe learning and development during early childhood. The themes are: Well-being, Identity and Belonging, Communicating, and Exploring and Thinking. Use this section to find out more about the principles and themes.
