Observe, establish facts, and reach new conclusions

This short video illustrates a well crafted discussion about interference. The discussion is initiated when people are asked what they expect to observe when they view sunlight after it has passed through a double slit into a dark box. They then view the interference pattern.
The mismatch between their expectation and what they observe is then drawn out by the interviewer and compared to a video he shows them of interference of water waves.
The supporting documentation provides further examples of possible approaches to teaching and learning interference, as well as two annotated sample questions which illustrate thekinds of of things students should be able to do if they have achieved the learing outcomes.
